Proper ventilation in poultry housing is critically important for disease prevention as it regulates temperature, humidity, and air quality, reducing the risk of various illnesses. Adequate ventilation helps remove harmful gases like ammonia and excess moisture, minimizing the buildup of bacteria and pathogens.

Proper ventilation is very important as it help to remove harmful gases (like ammonia) and also regulate the moisture of the litters.

Poor ventilation can lead to respiratory problems which can predispose birds to other diseases and also cause poor growth of birds, reduced feed conversation ratio, wet litters.

At some serious point, ammonia can cause partial paralysis of birds. That when you see birds finding it hard to walk or lying down on one side.
