- <strong jscontroller=”zYmgkd” jsuid=”EVsozb_r” data-processed=”true”>When to Flush:
Daily, or at minimum 1–3 times per week, especially after running
vaccines, vitamins, or medications, which promote rapid biofilm growth.- <strong jscontroller=”zYmgkd” jsuid=”EVsozb_u” data-processed=”true”>Procedure: Open end-line valves and flush until water runs clear. Use high pressure if available to remove sediment.
- <strong jscontroller=”zYmgkd” jsuid=”EVsozb_x” data-processed=”true”>Between Flocks:
Perform a deeper cleaning using acidic products (like PWT) to remove
scale and sanitize the lines, allowing the product to sit for 8–24
hours.- <strong jscontroller=”zYmgkd” jsuid=”EVsozb_10″ data-processed=”true”>Best Practices:<ul jscontroller=”mPWODf” jsuid=”EVsozb_11″ data-processed=”true”>
- Trigger all nipple drinkers while flushing to remove debris from the cups.
- Maintain 3–5 ppm of free chlorine at the end of the line for sanitation.
- Use automatic, programmable flushing systems to reduce labor and maintain consistent water quality
- <strong jscontroller=”zYmgkd” jsuid=”EVsozb_r” data-processed=”true”>When to Flush:
-
Weekly very important
If we can do simple flushing daily it’s more than useful
-
During periods of high humidity, especially when temperatures are also warm, water lines and infrequently used outlets should be flushed at least weekly to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria like Legionella. In high-risk settings such as healthcare facilities, flushing may be required more frequently, even daily or twice weekly.
