Dr. Serene Amatya, General Manager, Valley Group of Poultry Industries, Nepal

Dr. Serene Amatya leads one of Nepal’s largest poultry operations with a clear belief that technical knowledge, when applied well, can drive meaningful change. As General Manager of Valley Group of Poultry Industries, she sought opportunities to strengthen both operational performance and leadership capacity across her organization.

Her engagement with the SEC poultry learning track deepened her understanding of modern poultry practices, including feed formulation, hatchery management, and biosecurity. Just as important, it connected her with regional experts and peers, offering new perspectives on shared challenges and solutions.

The impact quickly translated into action. Dr. Amatya implemented improvements in feed optimization and farm hygiene, contributing to stronger bird performance and greater production efficiency. She continues to engage in SEC’s continuing education community, drawing value from shared learning and professional exchange.
“SEC has helped me grow as a leader and make better decisions for my company. The results are practical, measurable, and lasting.”

  1. Indeed, continuous education, experience sharing, and professional learning enhance an individual’s capabilities. I worked in poultry companies for over 11 years, including five years in the broiler sector and six years in the breeder sector in Ismailia, Egypt.
