Using neem leaf juice as a natural alternative to antibiotics in poultry production shows promise, particularly for its antimicrobial, antiparasitic, and immune-boosting properties. It could be an effective tool in organic or antibiotic-free poultry systems, helping reduce reliance on conventional antibiotics, minimize antibiotic resistance, and improve overall flock health. However, there are still important challenges and considerations, including the need for further research, proper dosage, and the potential for toxicity if misused. As with any alternative treatment, it’s essential to use neem leaf juice carefully, consult veterinary professionals, and ensure that it’s part of a holistic, well-managed production system.

The study concluded that administration of aqueous Neem (Azadirachta indica) leaf infusion in drinking water of broiler chicken as alternative to antibiotics did not pose any adverse threat on the performance and meat quality of broiler chicken.

The thing about replacement is that can it be replicated on a commercial level? If yes then it will be good. Neem leafs have phytochemicals that helps the birds immune system.
